Giggity help needed!

Hello all,

Yesterday I got my Giggity and I'm having a hard time getting the same sounds as I've heard on the demos.

Here's a rundown of my gear.

Strat
American Standard pups
SSL5 in bridge
Fender Blues Junior Amp

I used the suggested settings in the Dumble, Marshall, and violin/woman tone videos and it still doesn't quite match up.

I realize it won't be exact but I should be getting closer than I am.

Setting 3 is too bright on the Sun Moon switch and 4 is too dark.

Also could the supplied battery be a problem? Does it disengage when connected to a power supply?

Thanks up front for the help!

I really like the pedal and don't want to return it. The sound it can get is exactly what I'm after.

“Setting 3 is too bright on the Sun Moon switch and 4 is too dark.”

If 3 is too bright, pull back the Air to 9 or 8 o’clock. Or, you could put it in setting 4 (it’s going to have a smoother pick attack), and crank the Air up. Also remember, it still okay to nudge the Treble control on your amp a hair just to finish things off. Giggity has no wrong settings. Have fun!

If you’re using an external power supply, the battery will disconnected.

Refining your tone is an extremely time consuming process. I can tell you from experience that getting 90% of the way there is an accomplishment. It’s the last 10% that I’ve personally spent 20 years chasing. That’s where the work comes in, and for most of us, that’s really the fun part.

All the best,

JS

James,

Thanks for the great advice! I'll get to those settings right away. It really is a super product. Kudos on getting this bad boy to market.

I also determined that the speaker in my Blues Junior was another part of the problem. It has too harsh and bright. So I tried another cab and it helped too. So with these settings and a new speaker I should be good to go.
