SKB Pedalboard Buffer and GCX Buffer question

I recently picked up a GCX/Ground control system and have moved most of my pedals to a rack leaving my SKB-PS-45 pedal board quite empty. I want to pick up a pedaltrain board (or similar) that is smaller and just mount the ground control, my budda budwah and my peterson strobostomp 2 tuner to it.

My question is:
Since the SKB pedal board has a built in buffer, is it even good practice to run from the pedal board out into the gcx (guitar input)? I play mostly small clubs, so my cable runs from pedal to amp are usually under 20 feet (usually more like 10 ft) so I don't know if the skb buffer is really needed in my case.

Anybody have a similar setup? Suggestions?

Thanks!

There should be no reason to continue to use the SKB buffer in this setup, unless you just like the sound. You probably wouldn't want a buffer in front of the wah and there is certainly no reason to run the buffer after the pedal board before running to the GCX buffer. Let us know what you decide!

Thanks John,

I'm going to ditch the SKB board and go with a pedaltrain/pedal power setup. In the mean time I can bypass the buffers on the SKB and go straight into the tuner > wah > GCX.

Anyone looking for an SKB board like this PM me.

Thanks
