I also posted this at the Zvex forums:
I have a vexter Fuzz Factory, powered by a Voodoolab PP2. I am using a voodoolab pedal switcher , the FF is in loop 1. Loops 2 and 3 have other fuzzboxes, loop 4 is dedicated to modulation pedals, daisychained. I actually have two PP2s on my board (just giving as much information as possible) and all pedals, inclduing the pedal switcher itself, are powered through them and go through any of those 4 loops.
The issue is that i can hear the FF squeel, even if the pedal switcher loop is bypassed. I can control the squeel with the stab button on the FF. This is very odd as the loops are true bypass loops (using relays).
Any idea what is going on here and how to fix this ?
In the mean time I got a response from Zachary Vex:
Is it true that , when bypassed, the loops are not grounding the inputs and outputs ? Any way to fix this ? The weird thing is that this problem was not initially there, but at that time i might have been using the buffered input, or might have been using a different loop for the FF.Sounds like the relay isn't grounding the input/output from the FF when in bypass mode. That is unfortunately quite necessary with the FF, or it will squeal.
Thanks,
Yves
