understanding pedal power

Post by zsmoooth »

Hey,

I'm trying to power my diamond bass compressor with voodoo lab pedal power 2 plus. I purchased the voltage doubler adapter as well as a reverse polarity 2.1mm (center positive)... it has one white tip.

1. Which end of the reverse polarity cable plugs into the voltage doubler and which end goes into the pedal? Or does it matter?

2. And why would you not use the red barrel plug that comes with the voodoo lab? How do you know whether to use the red or the white on any given higher voltage pedal?

On the Reverse Polarity Barrel Cable both ends are the same size so it does not matter which end goes where.

Our Red ends are indicating that the plug is 2.5mm x 5.5mm so the Red end would connect to the device with the matching 2.5mm jack.

I hope that helps!
