Anyone have any experience with either of these? I've been playing guitar for nearly 3 decades and I'm still a complete idiot when it comes to power! haha

Trying to find the best/safest/cheapest/most effective power strip/surge protector to plug my PP2+ in to.

There really is no need to use a surge protector with a Pedal Power unless you simply need more outlets.
