Hi,
Does anyone know which power supply I should use to my newly purchased Schaffer Replica by SolsDallas? Being in the UK the unit has been supplied with a two pin US style plug so I'm having to use an adapter as well as a mains feed so I would really want to get this on my pedal board powered by any one of the following power units I have:-
Pedal Power ISO5
Pedal Power 2 Plus
Pedal Power digital
The unit has no information on it so going from the adapter I have the following:-
Input - 100-240v 50-60hz 0.19A Max
Output - 12.0v 0.6A 7.2W Max
And it looks like it has a centre positive tip
Any ideas without either blowing the unit up or electrocuting myself?!!
Thanks
Neil

Re: * Replica by SoloDallas
According to their website http://solodallas.com/the-schaffer-repl ... ifications the pedal version requires 12VDC 300mA and does in fact use a Center Positive power jack.
This should be able to be powered from any of the High Current 12V outputs on an ISO-5, Digital, 4x4, or Mondo.
Is suppose you could test for us if the power jack is 2.1mm or 2.5mm... put the power supply away and don't even look at it, then take the cable that has the one Red end and go into another room with just the cable and the pedal (pants are also suggested). Test if the Black end fits into the power jack or if only the Red end fits.
If the Black end fits then you will ultimately want to get the Reverse Polarity Barrel Cable to be certain of a reliable fit.
If only the Red end fits then you have your cable! Collect the cable, the pedal, (and your pants) and go back to the room with the power supply to plug it all in!

Re: Schaffer Replica by SoloDallas
Thanks for your reply John,
Both the black, and red, end fit into the power socket of the Schaffer Replica pedal so I will need the reverse polarity barrel cable 2.5mm, which is the red end one, into the pedal? I presume it doesn't matter whether I then plug the other end (2.1mm) into either the 300mA of the ISO5 or the 400mA of the digital does it?
Thanks for your help,
Neil

Re: Schaffer Replica by SoloDallas
If the black end fits then that is a 2.1mm jack. The red ended cable will likely work, but the White ended Reverse Polarity Barrel Cable has the correct 2.1mm sized plug to match the power jack.
I hope that helps!
