what size socket do I need to tighten up footwitch

We use a 9/16" driver here, but a 14mm should also fit.

The nut is rather thin so make sure the socket you use has a more flat face profile. A socket out of a cheap set I just tried is dished so much that it doesn't make solid contact with the nut.
