Micro Vibe too dark!

My Micro Vibe is a few years old (purchased new) and I love the effect but it is too dark when I use it on my pedal board. Is this just an unusable set of tones or is there some thing wrong. I don't use a battery, I use a One Spot 9V daisy chain. The way it is the pedal is unusable.

The Micro Vibe is a bit finicky about its input power as well as its placement in the signal path.

I would suggest first testing it with the guitar connected directly to the Micro Vibe, and maybe also testing it with a known good battery.

If it still doesn't sound right, fell free to give us a call or write to info@voodoolab.com so we can arrange to take a look at it for you.

I hope that helps!

I have an older Micro Vibe (no LED) and mine is finicky about power like John says. When the battery would get weak it would lose throb especially as the intensity knob was turned up. I also find the Micro Vibe as well as other vibes to be sensitive to their placement in the signal path. You may want to try it first in line if you are not already doing it that way.

So maybe your daisy chain is exceeding the current available. Or maybe another pedal in the chain is causing a weird interaction (anything can happen with daisy chains).

John's advice about using a brand new battery is what I would do (in addition to trying it before your other pedals). That will eliminate your power supply as a variable and you can go from there.
