Dingbat PX and replacing Switcher

Post by StratMann »

Hi,
is the integrated PX-8 plus switcher in the Dingbat PX board the same as the regular PX-8 plus? For example, if the Switcher in my Dingbat PX has issues am I able to buy a new PX-8 plus and screw it under the front of the board? Do I need longer screws for mounting the PX-8 plus under the Dingbat PX? Thanks.

It is the very same PX=8 Plus in both cases, yes.

When mounted to a Dingbat PX, we do indeed use slightly longer screws. (1/4" on standalone PX-8 Plus. 3/8" on Dingbat PX)

However, in your replacement scenario, you would already have the longer screws since they would be on the unit mounted to the Dingbat PX. ;)

I hope that helps!
