I decided to draw up a little diagram (from memory so please, feel free to notify me of corrections) of the Wah controller with a switch built in for controlling a MIDI Wah w/ the GCP. My pedal already had a hole in place for the switch, so I got off pretty esy, only needing a small hole for the LED (which is totally optional).I use this with my Lexicon MPX-G2 to control the Wah and/or my Uni-Vibe setttings. Works like a charm.
Building a Wah controller
Re: Building a Wah controller
I did the same thing (minus the stomp switch) as an expression pedal for global volume. I picked up a broken Crybaby for $15 bucks, gutted it except for the pot, hooked it up as shown and it works like a charm!
BTW- you better throw a resistor in series with the LED or you are going to shorten it's life tremendously. For a super-bright LED try 4K7 Ohm.
