channel changing

Post by gibson daft »

hey, im trying to get my gcx to change the channel on my orange rockerverb 50 mark 2. i asked a while ago about this and was told i could change channel and turn the reverb off/on using a loop for each, connecting to the inputs on the back of the amp, but i ve tried a combination of them all and nothing works, sometimes i get a clean signal then try 2 turn on the loop and the signal goes dead, or i have no signal then turn on the loop using the groundcontrol and i have a signal. i ve checked all the cables, and also tried using a pedal in the loop which worked perfectly!

any help would be greatful. thanks stuart

Using a mono instrument cable or speaker cable, you should be able to connect either the Send/N.C. or Out/N.O. jack of a GCX Loop to either of the switching jacks on the Rockerverb 50 MKII. You will also want to leave the GCX loops used for these functions set at their default of "Normal" (Latching) within the Ground Control Pro.

I hope that helps!

hey john, im still having problems with this set up.

this is how i have it set up, i think this is how its meant to be, im using loops 1 and 2,

1 for channel switching and 2 for reverb.

i have it linked like so,

guitar out into loop 1.

send to the channel select on the amp,

nothing in the return on the gcx.

looped from 1 into 2.

send to reverb on/off on the back of the amp

nothing to the return on the gcx

looped form 2 into 3.

The only cables that should be connected to these loops are the ones connected to the Send of each loop. Remove the cables that are running to the In and Out of each loop.
