Furman conditioner > GCX power in. Is there a cable?

Post by jcologne »

I'd like to replace the original GCX power cable (the 4 pin one with the adapter) with a more elegant solution. Preferably a cable without an adapter.

Is there a power cable that allows me to go from the gcx directly to a Furman conditioner (or the PP2+ out on the back)?

I know there is a cable from Voodoo Lab that allows to power the GCX from the stronger front out of the PP2+ but I need that one for an EHX Hog.

If I'm not mistaken, the PP2+ is a DC power supply and the GCX requires 9VAC, so PP2+ is not going to work. A Pedal Power AC would do the job, though.
You need something that's going to step the 120VAC incoming voltage down to 9VAC, whether it's the original wallwart adapter or the PPAC.
What would be cool is for Furman or someone to have a conditioner or rack power supply with built-in DC and AC barrel/plug type power supplies. Maybe it already exists, but I'm not aware of it... :)
