How to power Ground Link?

Post by warrp »

Hi, I have a Ground Link to go with a Ground Control (not Pro) and will be using it into a MOTU MIDI Time Piece II. The manual suggests connecting the Ground Link to a GCX, which will power it through the MIDI connection.

I'm not using a GCX - how can I power the Ground Link?

cheers!

The Ground Link accepts phantom power on Pins 1 and 3 of the GCX Out Jack. If you use a 5 Pin active/wired cable between the Ground Control MIDI Out and the Ground Link MIDI In, then the Ground Control will also be powered. You will want to provide 9VAC @ 500mA(minimum).
