GCX Audio Switcher Changes

Post by BenediktE »

I have available to me a GCX Audio Switcher made in 1994 with the serial 1***. My question is can it do all the things that the switchers coming now from VoodooLab can do? Or have there been any significant changes to it over the years?

Hope you guys can help me here.

First of all, thanks a lot for that.

If I get you right the main difference of the two versions is the buffer (on the both sides on the first version) and the fact that because of this you cannot select (connect) multiple preamps and switch between them ?

The same quality in the making of the old one and everything ?

The ability to switch between preamps is in no way hampered by there being two buffers vs one buffer. On the quality, I would dare say that if anything the newer ones would be better due to us having about 20 years of refinement after being able to see what really happens to gear that tours around the world year after year.
