So I've read the manual all the way through - what I'm wondering is this:
I understand that there are 2 basic settings for presets: either 4 presets per bank, or 10 presets per bank. 4 giving you numbers 1-4 as presets and then the eight switches above to control instant access switches to pedals.
Lets say I have a 3 channel amp, and 8 pedals. Each of the 8 pedals is in a loop from a GCX and the amp channels, fx loop, and solo function are controlled via an external midi switcher (RJM Amp Gizmo if you'd like the specifics). I'd like my first bank to be 4 presets, with 8 instant access buttons, for a kind of "open pedal-board" feel. The 4 presets would simply control amp channels, channel 1 - clean, channel 2 - dirty, channel 3 - really dirty, and channel 4 - solo (which would probably have a compressor, solo switch trigger for the amp, and a reverb or delay or something) - and then access to all my pedals via the instant access switches to add in and pull out as I like....
BUT for bank 2 I'd like to be able to have 8 presets with the same 4 amp channel configurations at the bottom of the GCX. Or in other words - a 10 preset kind of set up...
Is this possible? and if not, what would be the best method for achieving my desired level of functionality?
Thanks!

Re: Ground Control Set Up Question
What you're describing is not practical. You want your instant access buttons to always do the same thing no matter which preset or bank you are in. Otherwise, in a performance situation, it is impossible to keep track. If you have 12 presets, put them in 3 banks.mesaboogiewes wrote:So I've read the manual all the way through - what I'm wondering is this:

Ok, so what if you have more than 8 effects? The Ground Control supports up to 4 GCX switchers, are you only allowed instant access for 8 of the pedals?

If you need more than 8 instant access buttons, you will need an additional foot controller. We have a solution which is not yet announced.mesaboogiewes wrote:Ok, so what if you have more than 8 effects? Can you give me any sort of estimate as to when the announcement will be made? NAMM 2010 I assume:?:

No commitments, but that is likely.mesaboogiewes wrote:Can you give me any sort of estimate as to when the announcement will be made? NAMM 2010 I assume:?:
