Hi - I just bought a Control Switcher to change the channels on my Splawn Super Sport 22 combo and integrate those channel changes into presets on my TC Electronic Nova System. The Splawn SS has two TRS 1/4" jacks to control the channel changing. Footswitch A: Tip does nothing -- Ring switches OD1/OD2
Footswitch B: Tip switches Clean/Overdrive -- Ring switches Overdrive Mode 1st Gear/2nd Gear. I understand that need to use two (2) Insert Cables (1/4" TRS to Two 1/4" TS) to make the connections to the Control Switcher from the amp. The TC Nova System connects to the Control Switcher via a 5-pin midi connector cable. The thing I'm struggling with is how to configure Control Switcher & TC Nova system to talk to each other. The Control Switcher manually is a little confusing and TC's manuals are notoriously bad and midi is not something I'm very experienced with. Help please?
Thanks.

Re: Control Switcher Setup with tc Electronic Nova System
The Control Switcher will simply need to have Program Change and/or Control Change messages enabled to respond to the Nova System.
If you want the amp to only switch when you recall Nova System patches then you will likely only need to enable Program Changes in the Control Switcher.
If you want to have individual buttons to control the amp switching functions then you will want to enable Control Changes in the Control Switcher, and select the range of four Control Change numbers you want to use.
The Control Switcher defaults to using MIDI Channel 1.
There are two versions of the Control Switcher. Version 1 has Black Buttons and Version 2 has Red Buttons. Make sure you are using the manual for your version of the Control Switcher. You can look here for the appropriate user manual.
