It looks like a loose connection or a loose EEPROM
Open up the GCX and make sure that everything is seated correctly... The EEPROM is a big 'chip' with the white sticker in the middle of the circuit board...

It sure did help! Didn't feel any give when I pushed down on the EPROM... there was a piece of glue floating around one of the connections. In any case, whatever I did, pushing everything tight throughout the board resolved the issue. Thank you SOOOOO much!
