I'll test to see if I can repeat this problem, but in the mean time, what version firmware is your Ground Control Pro running?

When you first power up the Ground Control Pro a message will scroll across the screen... "Ground Control Pro by Voodoo Lab" with a version number at the end.

1.13 - Thanks for checking on Christmas Eve!

I think it may be the midi dump send and receive utility. I loaded the saved SYX file in SONAR SYSX utility and sent the file to the GCP with no issue.

There is one remaining issue where the preset names are all prefixed with an 'A'

The SS BReake patch looks funny now. ;)

I am going to try a direct edit again. What midi dump utility do you guys use?

I have the GCP 1.13 and the eleven rack 2.01

I have a workable SYX file now. I am not able to get all of the patches in there for the Eleven rack though.

I am fine when the patches go to 127, but then, the editor goes wonky with a bunch of undefined patches and then shows up the 'V series' patches that do not resolve.

I can create another thread for that if you want me to.

Thank you so much! Awesome work!

What I've found wrong:

1) This app doesnt save the channel number of devices. Tried on different browsers, anyway it saves as 1st channel for all devices
2) You cant set CC# for instand access buttons, if you'll add this feature it would be awesome!

I've been working with the author of this tool (http://gcproeditor.com) to fix some bugs over the past couple of weeks, and I wanted to provide an update. All the credit goes to the author, who has been really fast and flexible in fixing issues.

A couple of notes:
1) Browser compatibility: Chrome and Firefox work. IE and Edge do not (if you attempt to upload / drop in a SYX file in these two browsers, it will not work). I have no way of testing on a Mac, so I can't advise on Safari.
2) MIDI-OX (PC) and SysEx Librarian (Mac) are good choices for sending and receiving SYX files with the GCP.
3) I use an M-Audio Uno ($39) as a USB-MIDI interface, but any USB-MIDI interface should work.

Issues fixed:
1) The CC number for Instant Access buttons can now be changed within the web interface.
2) If an Instant Access button is attached to a MIDI device CC, and the switch type is momentary, there is now no ability to set the Transmit CC (Transmit with Preset) option. This matches the controls on the GCP.
3) Global Program, Respond to Program Change, Program Change Receive Channel, and Link Mode now function properly.
4) Within presets, incorrect expression pedal definitions have been fixed (what was displayed after clicking the Pedals button within the preset was set one entry off from the correct value).
5) A bug in the import / export CSV function that incorrectly set data on expression pedals within presets has been fixed.
6) When selecting Bank of 4 or Bank of 10 mode, the presets section now correctly displays a matching layout.

The big "want" now is the ability to drag and drop presets to reorder them within the web interface, and I know the author is working on that. The import / export CSV function is a great way to quickly reorder presets (within Excel, a text editor, or whatever).

Edit 1: I have tested with GCP FW versions 1.13 and 1.13b. I can't say how things will work with other FW versions.
Edit 2: Looking through the comments about issues in the thread, a) I can't validate the Eleven Rack issues, as I don't have an Eleven Rack to test with, and b) the channel issues in Configuration > Devices was just validated, IS broken, and is being worked on. The rest of the issues in the thread are addressed / fixed earlier in my post.

Awesome, good work, I will be using this soon!

Now if the midi solutions event processor was integrated...

I would love it if someone could post a video showing how to manage presets. I'm a midi noob and it hasn't quite "clicked" with me yet. Ideally, I'd like to have a bank for each song (Intro, Verse, Chorus, Solo) and change the bank presets to correspond with the set list.

Hi guys, I'm running into a similar issue. Getting the error "Invalid syx file" when I attempt an import. I'm using Chrome, Midi OX, and the Roland UM-ONE for the interface. I will have to send the attachment in email if you need a look at it. This site won't allow me to add it as an attachment. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
