Hello,
This is my equipment:
Rack (Korg A3, Yamaha SPX 900 , Eventide H3000, POD pro, TC 22900 SDD 2000 and SDD 3000).
All but last connected via MIDI to Ground Control Pro and GCX audio switcher.
MIDI GCX OUT - A3 IN - A3 THRU- SPX IN- SPX THRU- EVENTIDE IN-EVENTIDE THRU- TC 2290 IN-TC 2290 THRU- SDD IN-SDD THRU- POD PRO IN.
4 presets/bank.
Devices named and midi channel assigned.
When setting the presets, all devices are apparently well connected to MIDI, as preset number changes on the same device as I do it on Ground control Pro.
However I only hear the sound of POD pro during the setting or when playing the whole GCP preset.
8 instant access buttons work perfectly.
Any idea of what I,m doing wrong?
Thank you.

Re: Ground Control Pro MIDI sound problems
The midi connections only tell each unit what to change to, they have no bearing on the sound per say..... Therefore it has to be something to do with the setting of the POD, or the audio connections.
Is it all connected for stereo, or mono... I'm not sure what it could be, but it might be worth looking at the set-up of the POD. What is it set to do when it receives a midi change number?

Re: Ground Control Pro MIDI sound problems
I post a worksheet .jpg about the way it is arranged.
As I said, it works when pressing instant access buttons of each device or a combination of them , but when MIDI joins in scene only POD PRO does.

Re: Ground Control Pro MIDI sound problems
Here are a few things I see...
1. Probably just a mistake on the drawing, but with no cable from Loop 5 Out to Loop 6 In, you will get no sound from any of the devices in the loops.
2. The stuff in Loops 2-4 should probably only be connected using the Mono jacks. If your GCX is all mono loops then there is no benefit to using the Stereo Outs of those devices.
About the original problem... when you recall a Ground Control Pro preset that isn't working correctly, are any GCX Loops active? Also, once it isn't working as you want, what do you have to do to hear the effects loop effects?

Re: Ground Control Pro MIDI sound problems
1. Yes , a mistake on drawing . Loops 5 and 6 are connected
2. No led loops active on GCX when recall a preset
3. To hear the preset loop , justo to switch the button/s from 1 to 8 and led loops active as they are selected. No need to go to other menus from point 2.

Re: Ground Control Pro MIDI sound problems
Well it sounds to me that you just haven't yet saved a Ground Control Pro preset with any of the GCX Loops active.
1. Recall any Ground Control Pro preset that you will want to hear any of the Rack effects.
2. Press the Instant access buttons on the Ground Control Pro that activate the rack effects you want to hear.
3. Press and Hold the Edit Button on the Ground Control Pro.
4. Once the screen changes, release the Edit button then press it again. The screen should read "Save Y/N"
5. Press the Yes button to Save the Changes.
Let us know if you get stuck!
