whammy issues

hi,
I am having issues with my whammy.

i have ben running it remotely from the exp pedal connected to the gcp + gcx. it has worked fine so far. but today the whammy is not getting any midi data. the cable i'm using works, all the settings on the gcp are correct (and are the same that were working previously). its connected after the g-force from its midi thru jack. besides the midi, the whammy pedal works fine.

could this be a problem with the midi components within the pedal?
does the whammy use midi internally to change presets, and for control of its pedal?

it has not been moved and is in a rack at all times, so it hasn't really had much of a beating either. any one else experienced this with a whammy? ta

If this was working correctly but now is not then it is probably something simple like the MIDI receive channel on the Whammy has been changed. check all the settings to be sure they are correct.
