MIDI Devices with GCP?

I know that the manual says that the GCP can control up to 8 MIDI devices, but I was just curious to know if there is anyway around this to control a few more... maybe through MIDI mapping or even some external hardware or something. I am looking to control another device or two. Please let me know. Thanks a lot.

If you are clever with mapping you should be able to get multiple devices to do what you want with only a single Program Change on a single MIDI channel. you will have to use MIDI Thrus rather than MIDI Outs so each device (hopefully) sees the same message. There really is not a limit to how many devices can be connected to the Ground control Pro, just that it will send Program Changes on up to 8 different MIDI channels at once. Good luck!

I haven't tried this....but could you set up a device as OMNI on the GCP and send data out to 16 devices using that device that is set up as OMNI?
