Strange P1 & P2 behaviour on GCP!

Post by SplinteredDave »

Hello!

So Im controlling a G Major 2 with my GCP, as many people here seem to do. Im also using 2 Ernie Ball pedals with TRS cables to be my expression pedals. My intention was for P1 to be volume on every patch, and for P2 to be expression, so wahs, whammys, effect levels etc. However, having activated both P1 and P2 Ive found that both pedals are controlling both inputs. Theyre set to different CC numbers (P1 is CC07, P2 is CC08) but whatever I set P2 to, both pedals are controlling both of the inputs, so Im stuck with both pedals controlling volume on all patches.

Any ideas?
Thanks!!
Dave

One or both of your pedals are connected backwards... swap the In and Out connections made with the Insert cables connected to the pedals.

Yup, thats sorted it, cheers! The TRS cables that I have dont indicate which plug is the tip and which is the ring, so they were both backwards. All is now working as it should do.

Thanks for your help!!
