GCP "FROZEN"

Post by Victor Kennedy »

Hello all. I've had a GCP for 3 years, and back then it was working fine. I haven't used it for a couple of years so it's been sitting on a shelf for most of that time.

I've just pulled it out to do a setup with Eleven Rack and find that it's FROZEN ie: none of the switches are working. Several of the lights are on but I can't get the switches to turn off / on. This means I can't even do the initialisation procedure.

Can't see any way to reboot or whatever is needed. It's not been dropped or had any rough handling.
Can anyone please suggest how to get it working again?

All help gratefully appreciated...

CRAZY Behaviour...Unplugging GCP from power board and then reconnecting is now giving a different 'display' each time. Letters in the Display jump at random, as do the button red lights...different each time, to the point that last unplug-replug displayed Nothing...no Display text, no red lights. HELP..?

That is odd... how are you powering your Ground Control Pro? If not from the original included power supply, make sure to use one that is 9V (AC or DC) with at least a 500mA capacity.

Barring that, I'd say we may as well get it in here to take a look. Please give us a call or write to info@voodoolab.com so we can arrange for its return and repair.

Sorry for the trouble!

Thanks for your reply John.

I'm using the factory supplied power supply that came with the new unit: Model A0970SA, 9Vac 700mA.

As I'm in Australia, 60km out of Melbourne, it will be a bit much to get it to your service centre.
Where can I get it checked out in Melbourne, or if not Melbourne, somewhere in Australia?

Ahh... yes that is a bit far for shipping.

You should give our Australian Distributor, EGM Distribution a call. They should be able to provide you some more localized help.

Be sure to let them know I sent you.
