Hi all,
As title I’m having some problem to bypass my pcm80 using my Ground Control Pro.
Everything is fine when I assign a CC to one of the 8 switch to the GCP (on/off) but I can’t figure out how to bypass the pcm80 at the same time with a preset change on the GCP .
Example:
I’m on bank 1 preset 1 with the GCP and pcm80 engaged, at some point I want to go on bank 1 preset 2 and at the same time switch off the pcm80 (bypass), so in this way I can leave alive the effect tail of the unit.
It seems like that the pcm80 require a momentary CC by the “change with preset” option in the GCP I believe accept only normal switch not momentary.
I’ll really appreciate if somebody can help me out to solve this problem.
Many thanks!
Osky

Re: Pcm80 bybass using Ground Control Pro issue
Yes, the "Transmit with Preset" setting is a Latching type action... it will send Data Value 0 for OFF and 127 for ON.
I don't remember if the PCM80 is fixed at requiring a Momentary action for Bypass via MIDI. Just a quick thing I see in the manual suggests to me that there is at least a chance this may be programmable within the PCM80...
"To assign an external controller to perform the selected bypass function, press Load/* to display Bypass Src. Use ADJUST to select a footswitch or any MIDI controller (or Off). Once a source is selected, it will perform the same function assigned to the front panel Bypass button."
Alternatively, you could use our Control Switcher (or a GCX Loop) connected to the PCM80 Footswitch jack to control the Bypass state via MIDI.
I hope that helps!
