Hello everybody, please need some help. I just bought a control switcher (old one) for channel switching on a Dual Recto Multi Watt. I am using a Line6 POD HD 500X for some effects (4CM) and to control MIDI messages.
I know nothing about MIDI but finally got it all together with lots of Wiki-help and the Line6 is doing de channel switching pretty fine using CC Toggle messages.
I am worried because anytime I try to change the recto channel from orange to red or vice versa, the green channel light turns on for a blink..
There are no strange noises.. Just the flashlight as if the amp goes rapidly from the orange to the green before going to the red ch.
Everything works perfect so far, but I am concerned this blink to the green channel could eventually damage the amp, as result of a short circuit or something... Or if I am just doing it wrong. Please help.
Control Switcher and Mesa Dual Recto Channel Sw Issue
Re: Control Switcher and Mesa Dual Recto Channel Sw Issue
I wouldn't think this would be anything that could damage the amp, but do you get the same behavior if you just push the buttons on the Control Switcher itself?

No, I have just tried that, and pushing the buttons directly on the switcher works perfectly.
It must be something between the POD HD configuration and the Control Switcher that I can´t figure out. Maybe a little delay between turning OFF the orange channel and turning ON the red one, taking that little step in the green one.
As it is right now, everything works fine and there is no significant lag between changes, it´s just a little disturbing thing to my mind that would be nice to fix.
I just want to prevent anything to get broken with the continuous use.
Thanks.

Brother, I am about to attempt to use a Pod hd500x as the controller with the GCX switcher and I know the Pod has about a 1/2 second send delay from the manual.
My Rig will be 4 amps wet 2 solid state modeling amps ( Blackstar ID100, Blackstar ID 150) And 2 tube amps ( Line6 100 watt head spider mk2, Albion TCT 100 watt head) The Albion is the amp that needs the switcher all the rest are midi capable and all will be ran through 4- 4/12 cabinets that are externally or internally attenuated also I will be using the 4 cable method on all 4 with effects run through a mixer that is midi controlled that has memory patches for eq so that I can play in My house without blowing out the windows!
I gotta know did you figure out the switching issue is it just lag or another problem?
The midi plug on the audio switcher says ground control only foot switch but midi is a standard language so not certain why they say that unless a voltage send thing?
To avoid Me having to search for all the info you had to find and all the head scratching can you post the links to the information to bypass the ground control foot pedal and use the Pod?
If so Ill make a video step by step start to finish of how I am able to do what I am claiming will be and what I had to buy!
Let me know!
