Can I do this? (Can GCX switch power amp inputs?)

I’ve stripped away the additional unnecessary items to just show Preamp, GCX, Power Amp and Speaker Cabinets.

In case it’s unclear, I am going from Preamp Output to GCX Loop 8 Input, then GCX Loop 8 Send to one channel of the Power Amp and the GCX Loop 8 Out to the other Power Amp channel. Note that each Power Amp output will always be connected to an appropriate Speaker Cabinet (load).

If this was simple signal routing I know the switching will work, am I facing any issues due to switching power amp inputs?

The goal is to be able to switch cabinets based on patch selected. I’d also probably load different tubes in each channel to accentuate the difference. (Think a manual, externally switched version of the Mesa Road King)

Also, could the same be done with Loop 1 of the HEX?

I'm fairly certain that is the correct way to do the amp switching.

I bought my GCX off of a guy on Reverb and there was no power cord so I haven't been able to actually use the GCX yet. I found this forum while searching for a 4 din power supply. It is unbelievable how terrible the instructions are to any thing GC Pro or GCX. I watched the Voodoo Lab endorsed video and the guy had to stop the video ("hold on a second kids while I check the manual") so I'm not sure about how any of it works really. I bought my GC Pro to control my TriAxis, which it does, but I thought it would do more things like being able to change parameters and such, nope.

I posted a question that I will be able to answer myself once the power cord gets here. I'm a trial and error guy anyway so I will figure it out, sooner or later.

I’ve got my GCX, it’s working exactly as envisioned, no noise or issues at all.
