Hex or GCX would either do THIS?

Post by frets4vets »

so I am building a bass rig out of a 500 series chassis and some modules. I want to come out of the last in the chain (balanced output) and go into a switching system to accomplish the following. I want to just switch sends off to each effect as I will be running the output of each into mixer separately. Can this parallel be set up or will I have to make a crap-ton of splits to each input?

Ch 1 mono direct bass sound (not through switch)
Ch 2 mono (switched on and off by Voodoo) sub synth (low pass filtered from 120hz)
Ch 3-4 stereo (switched on and off by Voodoo) tc-g-major ( chorus/flange etc high passed at 150hz)
Ch 5 mono (switched on and off by Voodoo) pitch shift + crunch pedal for “rhythm guitar”

completely new to the switcher idea, but I HATE pedalboards lol. Used Kemper and Axe-fx when I was doing guitar and want the same ease of rolling in a rack and plugging in and being done ;)

Hi there,
The Hex or the GCX can switch this but the way to go is with a spitter, such as a Rane SM26.
You could use a splitter cable though, if you went out of your 500 series into the rear pass through, a loop cable fro the front pass through into the guitar in so that it passes through the buffer, guitar out to your splitter cable then into the loop ins of the GCX. Through your FX and back to the GCX then out to your mixer.

If you get the GCX and the GC Pro, that’s the way to go.

Cheers
GCPro, GCX, Pedal Power 2+, Pedal Power AC.
And some other stuff.
