Cleaning the GCP

Post by Pacomgl »

When I bought my GCP, it had adhesive stains on it. I tried Goo Gone, Ronsonol lighter fluid, even a damp soapy cloth. I only managed to spread the adhesive and not remove it.
Any tips on what to use to clean this thing?

Not sure where you have the adhesive bits but probably helpful if you need to use something different is knowing the main chassis parts are painted with a polyester based powder coat and the overlay is made of lexan.

That said, goo gone has always seemed to work well so maybe look at what you used for a clean up rag. Look for terry cloth or something similar. The standing loops should help lift off the loosened adhesive rather than just push it around.

I hope that helps!

It’s on the lexan too, thank you, I’ll try again with the material you suggested
