Hello dear Voodoo Lab community,
this is my first post here and I really tried to google and find the solution by myself, but no luck. So I registered here, hoping to find an answer from some pro users / developers.
My question is rather simple, thus I am a bit confused that I could not find anything in the internet about it:
I have a Mesa Studio Preamp that I want to Midi Control via the Control Switcher. Now there's only one Switch to toggle between Lead and Rhythm. Since I have many patches saved on my Midi Controller (Disaster Area DPC 8 EZ Gen 3) that include both, the lead and rhythm sound, I encountered a problem: I can't save "Rhythm" or "Lead" to every patch that requires these settings – I can only set the Control Switcher to SWITCH between those. The problem here is that if I want to switch patches on my pedalboard but REMAIN in the Lead channel for example, I would need to save this PC message with the respective switch in off position. But when I am coming from a Rhythm patch, I'd need to set it for switching.
So what I would need is basically the possibility to have each patch sending "RHYTHM" or "LEAD" to the Mesa Studio Pre – not only "Switch between those two".
I couldn't figure out anything with momentary / reverse, etc.
I hope you understand my problem? Hope that someone knows a solution.
Wish you all the best and many many thanks in advance,
Alex

Re: Control Switcher Question – Lead/Rhythm problem on Mesa Studio Pre
Hi there,
To do this with your Disaster Area DPC 8 EZ Gen 3, you need to add another controller to it, such as their Midi Baby. There isn’t a way to do this, with this being set up in preset mode.
Hope this helps you out.

GCPro, GCX, Pedal Power 2+, Pedal Power AC.
And some other stuff.
