midi

Post by Bahamafornian »

if i want to run a whammy pedal, and a time factor in midi, can i have the midi run through the whammy on my pedl board, not the gcx, and have the timefactor in the gcx, and still in "banks" call up different funtions from the whammy and the time factor?

With the Ground Control Pro you can control up to 4 GCX switchers and up to 8 MIDI devices. The Whammy and Time Factor are your two devices, so the short answer is yes, Ground Control Pro can recall the patches on these two devices.
The Whammy has only a MIDI In so it will have to be placed last in the MIDI chain. This means that if the Whammy must be out on the floor then you will either need to run a second cable from the rack back to the pedalboard or find some sort of MIDI splitter. The easy solution is really to put the Whammy in the rack and control all its functions via MIDI using the Ground Control Pro with an Expression pedal connected to it.
