GCX & ISP trouble

Hi -
I have a GCX and two audio switchers and recently encountered a problem while incorporating some new gear.
1 - I purchased the ISP THETA preamp and an extra cable to use in the second switcher to for the ISP. Has anyone done this successfully? I am not able to get any of the controls to work when they are being used as switches in either the NO or NC positions. Any help would be welcome.
2 - This is a new problem - when I select the the WHAMMY pedal, the expression pedal no longer controls it. No setting have changed since the addition of the THETA preamp, but I am at a loss. Does anyone have any ideas? I can see the expression pedal controlling the GCX and I have the CC controller on channel 11.
Help would be absolutely welcome.

1. How exactly are you interfacing the preamp switch functions? The preamp uses a 15-Pin D-Sub connector, is the cable you purchased for use specifically with the Theta preamp?

2. Check that the Whammy is the selected target device within every Ground Control Pro preset that is to enable the expression pedal for the Whammy.

I have taken received a schematic from ISP and purchased another cable, taking the appropriate leads to the common ground using the tips as the signal and the +15V for the ground as per Buck's instructions. As for the Whammy I will check it out again.
--just checked the Whammy-- its all there, but no control.
Perhaps for the THETA you have a suggestion? I have set the switches appropriately, and nothing. I have the functions going to the tip and the +15 to the sleeve.

If you short the appropriate pins together on the preamp itself do the functions work correctly?
