GCX Supply

Post by alexglvr »

Hello,

I live in France and I would like to order my GCX in USA as the price is far lower...

The problem is that in this case, the GCX power supply will be 110V and I need a 220V version for france...

Is there an easy way to modify it (Maybe an inside switch or so...)

Thank you for your help,

Alex

The GCX uses an external power supply.

I would strongly suggest that you buy one through an authorized dealer in France. I personally know the people at both Filling Distribution and Audio Tube Tech and recommend them. If you need support, they will help you. I checked the price and once you deduct VAT and shipping, it seems okay.

I agree with Josh- you don't gain much once you've imported one from the US.

That said, if you were in the US and bought one and needed a replacment power supply you can buy one from Thomann for 34 euro.
