Guys,
New to the forum, lots of great information here. I have the following issue: My 80's Fender concert amp has a series effects loop, i saw the diagram on the gcx page http://www.voodoolab.com/gcxdiagrams/05 ... tching.pdf
(with the g-force not on the loop) it states that to keep the delay/reverb trails after muting the signal into the unit, the amp's loop must be parallel. Is there a work around this?
My setup is:
Guitar into GCX guitar In
3 pedals on loops 1-3 > Front of amp
Effects loop Send >Loop 4 Mod Factor
Loop 5 Time Factor > Effects loop Return
Help will be greatly appreciated!
Adrian
I want my delay trails!
Re: I want my delay trails!
It will do what you want if in the next preset the g force will be activated even if is with a dry preset.
Re: I want my delay trails!
What about adding a Suhr Minimix to the rig?
Re: I want my delay trails!
In your case, as described, you would have only two choices... either run the processor in parallel using a mixer, or run the processor in series and active at all times to allow the spillover. One thing to help you decide would be if you use a lot of the other effects within the G-Force besides just reverbs and delays. If so, then you would likely not want to use a parallel signal path due to rendering the other effect types basically useless.

Re: I want my delay trails!
Guys,
Thanks a lot for your input. I'm afraid i was not clear enough with the issue, I apologize. I do not have a g-force, all I'm running is the pedals i listed at the end of my posting, i was only referring to the "type" of "setup sample" i found on the site. However, i think the mixer setup could work, a simple passive mixer like "DOD AC240 Resistance Mixer", what i came up with is this:
Guitar>Guitar In GCX
3 pedals on loops 1-3 > front of the amp
Amp's Effects loop send>Loop4>ModFactor IN
Loop 4 Out > Loop 5 IN
Loop 5 Send > Time Factor IN
Time Factor Out > Mixer IN 1
Loop 5 Out > Mixer IN 2
Mixer Out > Amp's Effects loop Return
What do you think? Works? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Can't wait to get this up and running.

Ha! Oops, it seems so clear now! Anyway, the above setup should be correct regardless of what device you want running in parallel... even if it were a G-Force.atomtanger wrote:Guys,

Re: I want my delay trails!
Thanks everyone!!, just ordered the mixer. I will update with results and possibly a couple of images of the rig, i have one more part of the rig to do and that is a 1U patch bay on the back panel of the rack for setup convenience, again thanks to all for your support.JohnClark wrote:Ha!
