Malfunctioning switch/pad on older model Ground Control

Post by sondeladick »

I recently purchased an older model Ground Control but my #2 footswitch isn't working properly. I have a pedal in the loop of the GCX and when I hit the #2 switch it turns the loop on for a split second and engages the #2 LED on the GCX but there is no sound from the pedal that is suppose to be activated. When I turn the #2 off it does the same thing... a pop and a split second of the pedal.

I took the metal enclosure off and tried triggering the footswitch by just hitting the small pad on the PCB board and it's the same issue. Do I need a new pad?

Thank you!

First, put the Ground Control back together.

Second, go into the Expanders section under Setup Mode and set GCX-1 Loop 2 back to Normal rather than Momentary.

No parts should need replacing for this ;)
