How do I connect one pedal switcher to the next?
Hi, I am new to this and this is a very simple question, but there are no diagrams or videos thoroughly explaining the best way to set up multiply pedal switchers to commander. I've watched the you tube video but am still unsure and don't want to ruin this expensive equipment, which took me a long time to save for. any help would be appreciated. I'm assuming I cound put a chord form the passive or buffered IN of the first switcher into the output (by the 9vAc receptacle) of the 2nd switcher, while also connecting them via the midi IN & OUT; then finally midi connect the 2nd switcher to the commander...please let me know if I'm on the right track...Thanx
Re: How do I connect one pedal switcher to the next?
The audio connections would be to connect the Out of the first Pedal Switcher to either the Input or the Buffer of the second Pedal Switcher.
The MIDI Connections would be to MIDI Out of the Commander to the MIDI In of the first Pedal Switcher then connect the MIDI Out of the first Pedal Switcher to the MIDI In of the second Pedal Switcher.
I hope that helps!

If connecting additional MIDI devices (ie Eventide Factor pedals), where would they go? In between Pedal Switchers or at the very end?JohnClark wrote:The audio connections would be to connect the Out of the first Pedal Switcher to either the Input or the Buffer of the second Pedal Switcher.

If you're referring to how you would connect the MIDI chain of additional MIDI devices, you would connect the MIDI Out of the last Pedal Switcher to the MIDI In of the next MIDI device.ninzanstudio wrote:If connecting additional MIDI devices (ie Eventide Factor pedals), where would they go? If you're referring to where you would connect the audio side of it, that's up to your ears to decide but typically delay effects go toward the end of the pedal chain.
One thing to remember...MIDI and Audio are completely separate from one another and have nothing to do with each other except for that MIDI gives you a way to control audio. The way the audio chain is patched together holds no bearing on how the MIDI chain will patch together and vice versa. They're two completely separate things.

Yes Jon, I was referring to only the order of the MIDI chain. Thanks for the reply!
