GCX with original Rocktron Midi Mate????

Can I use a GCX with an original Rocktron Midimate via a standard 5 pin midi cable? I don't want to hook it up for fear of damaging either unit until I find out for sure. Thanks.

You will want to check with Rocktron to find out if pins 1 and 3 on the MIDI Out are used for anything. The GCX will provide 9VAC across pins 1 and 3.

I used the rocktron 5 to 7 pin midi cable to power the midi mate when i used the GCX and Midi Mate, worked great.
