GCP Instant Access Buttons and LED Feedback???

I am using a Ground Control Pro with a G-Major 2.

I have the GCP setup to have 4 presets and 8 IA buttons.

I have the IA buttons programmed and they work very well, with the following exceptions:

1. I have no LED feedback on the GCP when I change presets. The preset button lights up, but the IA buttons do not.
For instance, if I am using my amp's clean channel and Chorus on a preset, neither the Chorus button or the Channel button light up when switching to this preset.

2. When using the same preset, clean channel w/Chorus....If I want to change channels on my amp, I have to push the Channel button twice. The 1st press tells the G-Major to go to my Clean channel, even though the amp is already in the clean channel!

When using a preset with my amp's distortion channel, the 1st press of the Channel button changes the amp to the clean channel.


Is there a way to fix these 2 issues?

select your first preset, set the state that you want your IA buttons (on/off.) then press and hold the EDIT button. Press EDIT again to exit, selecting YES to save. now, when you access that preset, the IA buttons return to the current state. continue the process for each preset!

edit: are you using MIDI to change channels directly on the amp, or are you switching channels some other way? make sure youre transmitting to the gmajor and the amp on 2 different midi channels. start on pg 6 of the manual, setup the device names, and transmit channels. once thats done, press and hold EDIT, BANK down and program the PC numbers for each device. ie Gmajor preset number, and amp channel.

To make the instant access button status match with effects that are active on a given preset:

1. Call up the Ground Control Pro preset that you want to edit.
2. Press any of the Instant Access buttons that should be on for this preset.
3. Press and hold the EDIT button.
4. Once the Ground Control Pro screen changes, press the EDIT button again.
5. Press the YES button to save the changes.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each Ground Control Pro preset that has active effects.
