GC Pro is v1.14, the power socket is red, and it has not been water damaged. I wonder how the GCX wall wart could be at fault when I still have identical issues when powering the GCP via a wall wart? The only time I can get the rack to power on in a usable state is if I let the GCP 'warm up' via wall wart for 10 minutes or more before power-cycling the GCP & GCX. Then they'll typically work for 15-20 minutes before loops on the GCX start sticking.
When the Liquid Foot is connected the active LED flashes whenever I send a MIDI command, and the GCX continues to be 100% reliable. The Liquid Foot is powered via its own wall wart.

Re: Random strangeness with GCX & GCP
Hi there,
Sounds like it’s the latest GC Pro so you shouldn’t have issues.
Have you got a midi cable with only 3 pins, so that there is no power connected from the GC Pro to the GCX? If so, I’m wondering if you can power both without either interacting with the other. This will tell you if the both of them are drawing too much current for the GCX power supply. With a 5 pin midi cable they could still be doing something to each other.
Sounds like there may be something wrong with your GC Pro though, hopefully not.
If you don’t have a 3 pin cable, do you have a soldering iron to be able to modify the cable to test?
Cheers

GCPro, GCX, Pedal Power 2+, Pedal Power AC.
And some other stuff.

I have a 3-pin cable and I've been using it when powering the GC Pro via wall wart. I have the same issues with the GCP regardless of which cable I use. I also have not connected the GCP wall wart while using the 5-pin cable, as I'm aware that may damage either the GCX or GCP.
