ground control with g major

Not sure what you have done there... What G-Major patches are the first 4 Ground Control Pro presets recalling? Do the block lights come on when you select those G-Major patches from its front panel?

ok so here is the detailed breakdown. for the first block of presets on the ground control, i am operating on preset 9 on the g major. preset button 2 on the g major, when pressed will only turn on my chorus which is on instant access button 3. i have it set up so when i push preset button 2, instant access button 3 lights up, however the command is not received on the g major. i can however push instant access button three on and off, and it will be received on my g major. it used to work and i have no idea what i have done differently.

First- On the G-Major, does the Chorus/Flange light come on when you scroll the Edit wheel to patch #9 and press Enter to load the preset?

Second- On the Ground control Pro make sure each of the Instant Access buttons that control effects on the G-Major are set to Normal and NOT Transmit with Preset.

By first telling me if you see the block status lights on the G-Major when selecting patch #9 manually.

the blocks are all off when selecting the preset is selected on the g major. i have preset 1 on my ground control to be totally clean and free of effects. so when i put preset 9 on the g major, no effects are activated.

OK, then I fail to see what the problem is here other than on the Ground Control you have programmed the Instant Access button for Chorus/Flange to be on when it should be off. Remember you are only programming the status of these lights to match the active effects upon recalling a G-Major patch.

hmm. im trying to figure out the best way to explain this. i got it to work before but i have the first block of presets on the ground control (buttons 1-4 on the bottom) set up to work on preset 9 of the g major. going from button one, (which has no effects at all, completely clean) to button 2 which will only activate instant access button 3, which controls chorus/flanger. is that not do-able? sorry, its just somehwat difficult for me to explain

OK, I see. If that is the case then you will actually want to set IA button 3 to Transmit with Preset. Otherwise, you are just recalling patch 9 as it normally comes up, with no effects loaded.

This can be found in the Instant Access section, under Setup Mode in the Ground Control Pro Manual. Here is a quick guide for your particular setup.

1. Press both Setup buttons.
2. Press the Instant Access button. (#6)
3. Press the Bank Down button repeatedly until the number at the left of the screen is 3. This indicates you are programming Instant Access button 3.
4. Press the Cursor Right button so you pass the MIDI channel and the CC # programmed.
5. Using the Data + or - buttons, select XMIT W/PRSET.
6. Press either one of the Setup buttons to exit Setup Mode then press the Yes button.
