Hello! I have a pedalboard controlled by PX8+
In addition to having analog pedals connected, control via midi 3 devices in the following order:
Vodoo Lab PX8 + MIDI output -> MIDI in Strymon Mobius -> MIDI output Strymon Mobius -> MIDI in Marshall JVM 205H -> MIDI OUT Marshall JVM 205H -> MIDI Whammy DT
The problem is that by configuring the switching, (all effects set by default on channel 1), I can save Mobius and Marshall presets, but not Whammy. Ex: when I press the preset 1, it brings me the saved configuration of my Marshall and the Mobius, however, the whammy only brings me the first effect, and when I advance in the presets of the Px8+ it brings me the effects of the whammy in order, no possibility to save them.
Someone who can help me, how can I save in the PX8 + Whammy presets?
(excuse me for my english)
Vodoo Lab PX8+ with Whammy via MIDI
Re: Vodoo Lab PX8+ with Whammy via MIDI
Sorry for the delayed reply... I'm not sure how I missed this one!
Unfortunately, both the PX-8 Plus and the Whammy DT use fixed Program Changes, meaning neither device allows the user to program them. The PX-8 Plus is fixed at sending Program Change 1-36 where the first Preset sends 01 and the last preset sends 36.
In this case you will need another device that can send programmable MIDI Program Changes. The MIDI Solutions Event Processor would work for this. It will take the Program Change from the PX-8 and translate it to whatever Program Change you want so the Whammy DT goes to the correct sound.
I hope that helps!
