PX8+ and Commander

I think I already know the answer to this but I just want some confirmation. I've been using Commander with 2 x Pedal Switchers for a long time. I'm considering updating to a PX8+ but I was wondering if I could use Commander to control the PX8+ in loop strip mode in the interim while I get used to it's other functions/mode before removing it and just going with the PX8+ alone. Will Commander power off the PX8+? Will the PX8+ in loop strip mode behave like 2 x Pedal Switchers?
Thanks.

The Commander will work with the PX-8 or PX-8+, and will be phantom powered via the MIDI Cable. The PX-8/PX-8+ can be added to this Pedal Switcher rig or it can replace the Pedal Switchers.
The only difference is that the preset save function will need to be performed on the PX-8/PX-8+ itself rather than using the Commander "Store" button, and the PX-8/PX-8+ will need to be programmed to respond to MIDI Program Changes on MIDI Channel 1.
I hope that helps!

That certainly does help, thank you!
