I want to control two MIDI fx simultaneously using one Expression pedal that’s plugged into one Exp Input on GCP.
I had expected that there would be a setting in Setup/Pedals to make that happen - That I would choose to have the signal from Exp Input 1 be duplicated in Exp Input 2 and that their destinations would still be separately assignable, per patch.
I am using a standard lightweight plastic Boss expression pedal. It's small enough to fit on my board and it's very lightweight. It's single TRS cable is plugged into my GCP's Exp.1 jack.
Since Ground Control appears to only offer the option to choose one destination for each expression pedal's input, it seems my options would be:
- Buy a second expression pedal and use two. That won't work because I don't have room on my board PLUS it doesn't give me simultaneous control from one foot pedal, which is the point.
- Buy another expression pedal that has two exp outputs. The only ones I can find are all heavier than I want and bigger than what I can fit.
- Buy the stereo version of the small lightweight plastic Boss volume control, buy two right angle insert cables and connect it to both exp. pedal inputs. (Ugh)
Am I missing something in the UI? Is there a software setting/update available for this?
