Hi, I just got a GCX and a GCP, both dating back to 2006. First thing I did was to reset the memory of the GCP. Then followed the instructions in the manual to connect and power up the devices. The GCP is powered by the GCX like it's supposed to, but there is no reaction what so ever from the GCX. I did tell the GCP that gcx-1 is on, and selected the 4-preset option, but buttons 1-8 does absolutely nothing. Even tried the guitar to the tuner over a loop to see if anything happened even if the LED's didn't come on, but nothing. The GCX LED's 1-8 does not light up when powering on. I've also verified that there is contact on all the pins in the MIDI-cable.

I then opened the GCX to check for corrosion anywhere inside, none of that or anything other obviously wrong.

How do I get this to work?

If the GCX does not scroll the LEDs when first powered on then something is certainly wrong with this GCX. Test with the GCX powered off for at least 10 seconde, then power up... if it still does nothing at all then please feel free to give us a call or write to info@voodoolab.com to arrange for an inspection/repair on this GCX.

I had a feeling it went in that direction. In desperation I've posted here and several other forums and called several retailers of your products, in addition to sending you an email I have yet to receive a reply to.

If all else fails I will indeed ship the unit to you, but are there any qualified service stations here in Norway or at least in continental Europe? Otherwise I'll send the thing to California...
