Beginner Help

Hey there,

Trying to get my head around creating a new live setup which is gonna be heavy but hopefully very, very ‘plug and play’ which is what I’m looking for.

I have a list of gear and a list of requirements and I’m really hoping someone can lend a hand and explain how things should be wired up and what cables I’ll need. Newish to MIDI but I’ll be able to figure it out once things are actually plugged in correctly I hope.

Gear (all to be housed in one super heavy awesome custom rack with a built in amp head shelf for the Mesa)

Dual Rectifier (3 channel with channel switch jacks on the back)
GCX
Ground Control Pro
Bunch of pedals to sit in the rack drawer (some to go in effects loop, some to go in front of amp) - 1 is midi controllable delay)
Wireless guitar system in the rack
Two Notes Captor X cab IR (mainly for home use at lower volumes through studio monitors but ideally will also use live to send direct signal to FOH)
Morley switchless wah (most annoying part, needs to be in front of amp - at some point may switch to using built in wah of a gmajor with an expression pedal but super addicted to the switchless operation)

Any help appreciated, dumb it down as much as possible :)

Hi there,
How many pedals do you have? If you tell us what you have we can help you a bit more.

I’d also get something like an RJM Mini Amp Gizmo and their cable to switch the amp with the Din Footswitch Jack otherwise you need 3 loops just to control the channel switching.

I’ll help you now with what I can.

So loops 6, 7 and 8 are for switching, you can use either Snd or Out, just need the loop on or off for either.

Loop 5 I’d use for your Two Notes Captor X so SND goes to the Captor and Out to your Mesa Rtn.

That leaves 4 loops for pedals.

So to setup the Wireless, the out of the receiver goes to the rear feedthru, the front feed thru goes to your wah in, your wah out goes to the front guitar in, the rear guitar out goes to a pedal that is always on or to loop 1 in. Then add your pedals, distortion before amp etc, out of Loop# to your Mesa, out of Mesa Snd to Loop#, out of Loop# to Loop 5 in, loop 5 out to Mesa Rtn. Mesa spkr out to cab.

Any more help or info, just ask. Hope this helps you out a bit.
