Controlling Line 6 M5 with Pedal Switcher + Commander

Anyone know if it is possible to switch patches within the M5 using the Commander and pedal switcher?
Hi there,
The Commander sends out Program Changes 1-10 with the respective button. So you can choose presets 1-10 only. It also has to be set to Midi Channel 1.
This is from the M5 manual
Midi Control
The M5 will send and receive MIDI CC and Program Change messages on any MIDI Channel from 1 thru 16 or Omni, selectable from the MIDI screen in Setup mode.
