ROUTE help?? Worksheet --
Posted: Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:39 am
Ok -- just bought the GCX and the GCP --
Got some stompboxes and a G-major 2.
I printed out some blank GCX worksheets and reviewed the online worksheets ...and now I'm working on my own worksheet. Pen in hand (no not a pencil -- really I just can't find one and need one with a big eraser) -- anyway --
I am stuck already ---- I could probably come up with something that would possibly "work" --- but really looking for someone to just tell me what to do here --- maybe do a worksheet diagram and send it over (please)
I finally learned how to program the GCP with my equipment (thanks John -- for sure! ). I am ready to cable it all together -- but -- I find myself second guessing my "route" to the point where I'm really not sure.
Here is what I have ---
-Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro -- on the floor
In a rack the following:
-Furman Power
-Shure Wireless --
-Korg Tuner
-Voodoo Lab GCX
-TC Electronics G-Major
-BBE 362
-Marshall JMP-1 Preamp
-Marshall 9200
Pedals on shelf in rack
-Boss DS-1 distortion
-Boss CE-2 Chours
-MRX EVH Phase 90
-Ibanez AD-9 analog delay
I also have a Ernie Ball volume pedal mounted next to my GCP I want to get in the mix somewhere. I know I can control the G-Major's volume thru midi -- but I'm not sure I will always have G-Major "on" -- (and I don't know how to do that yet -- programming wise)
It makes sense to me to have the volume pedal connected in the path somewhere versus midi --- (just looking for ideas here) -- however -- that adds to the cords running on stage (I know -- I know...) -- I like the thought of one (midi) cord from the rack to the floorboard.
Long request here -- sorry.
I read that the JMP loop is parallel -- and some recommend not putting the G-Major in the JMP-1 loop because of that (anyone's take one that?). I want to use the G-Major as "stompboxes" but now I find myself running out of switches (because of the 4 stompboxes on the shelf in the rack).
I'm confused again.............
-And where does the BBE go?
-And how can I mute everything and use the tuner on stage?
-And............ (I can go on)
Anyone?? Throw me a route worksheet??
