Control Switcher help

Post by StevenMikel »

I have a Marshall TSL100,a Rocktron Replifex, a Rocktron Midi Mate and, a Control Switcher. I hooked the Control Switcher up to the amp and got it to change channels but ,not in the way I want it to .I want to be able to change channels and turn the FX loop of and on(I'll leave the reverb on all of the time) and change presets on the Replifex with the Midi Mate, the Replifex is going into the front of the amp. I'm confused about how to set the functions(normal, reverse ,momentary) of the switches of the Control Switcher. Should the switch for the clean channel set to normal and the one for crunch and lead set momentary ?

Hooking it all up. Do I go from the midi out of the Midi Mate to the midi in of the Control Switcher then out to the Replifex or, do I go to the midi in of the Replifex then out to the Control Switcher?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Does your Marshall use a DIN plug for switching or 1/4" plug? I would get the patchmate to work with the intelifex first. Then you should be able to add the switcher and select which channel is active for which preset. Hope this helps. If not, i need more info. Your patchmate will send out program change info and I believe the switcher will work with that. If you dont want the channels to change with each preset, then you will have to assign a CC on the patchmate for each channel of the amp

Hi Steven,
You need this cable

https://reverb.com/au/item/39940907-rjm ... p4EALw_wcB

I’ll see if I can work out which wires need to go where, you may need to get a 6 pin midi plug for the amplifier end.

Hi Steven,
You could make your own cable as so:

5 pin midi plug. 6 pin midi plug. Function
Pin 1. To. Pin 1. Clean-Gain
Pin 2. To. Pin 6. Common
Pin 3. To. Pin 2. Crunch-Lead
Pin 4. To. Pin 4. Reverb
Pin 5. To. Pin 5. Effects

Not sure if they are Normal, Momentary or Latched, have a muck around after making the cable.

You can check this here for 6 pin locations

https://music-electronics-forum.com/for ... h-problems

And in the Control Switcher manual, page 4 for the 5 pin locations

Not yet. The problem I'm having with the control switcher is, figuring out how to set the switches(normal, momentary etc...). I think I know how they need to be set but, haven't had time to sit down and do it.

The amp mode switches are momentary(clean, crunch & lead), reverb and effects are latching and all should be normal from looking at the pedal schematic.
