GCX, need some advice on cables

Hi, I need some advice about wiring up my GCX. I am going from a Radial shotgun to 4 rack preamps into the GCX and out to an ISP decimator ii g string pedal and I am wondering if whether to use unbalanced or balanced cables for any of these connections? Thanks

A stock GCX has unbalanced send / return, so you'd get no benefit from using balanced cables. I believe a GCX can be modded to be balanced/stereo, but I'm not 100% sure how that works.

With what you have I’d be getting a mixer, something like the Samson SM10.

I have a Radial Shotgun feeding 4 preamps, a GCX, a Rane SM82S mixer and a few other bits.
I go from the guitar, GCX in, GCX out, into my Decimator Pro Rack G Stereo Mod, into loop 6 in, (loop 6, 7 & 8 have pre-preamp pedals) loop 8 out to Radial Shotgun, to Preamps, to loop 1 Rtn, ( loop 1-4 for preamp returns as they don’t have the shield attached, no ground loops) out of the GCX outs, to the in’s on the mixer.
I can have any combination of any preamp turned on or off, all mixer together if I like. I also have a TC Electronic G Major 2 in the FX loop of the Rane mixer.

The GCX standard has mono connections, as dystrust said previously, so normal mono instrument cable is fine. As dystrust also said, you can mod the GCX to stereo connections by getting onto Voodoo Labs and ordering the new board or boards with the stereo connectors.
