two Voodoo Lab products only on Channel 16 need independance

Hi all.
I'm using the VCAs on two separate Voodoo Lab System Mix Plus units. Both SM+ can only respond to channel 16.

They're great units in every way except that at the moment I can't use both VCA's because when I change one, the other changes with it (as they share channel 16).

Is there a product that exists which, when placed in front of the 2nd SM+ MIDI input, could alter a message sent on channel 15, to channel 16?

This way i could send midi messages on channel 16 for the first SM+, but send messages on channel 15 for the second SM+, but it would still receive it on channel 16.. the beauty of this setup though is it would give the units independance from one another.

Anyone know of such a midi device? Midi splitter, midi merger, midi router?
Midi confuser!? hahahah

Thanks for any help -- Dawesy

You need a box that will take channel 15 (or any other channel) and shift it to CH16 that the VCA will read. Options are limited as the need for this type of product generally disappeared by the 2nd or 3rd generation of midi products in the 80's. Here are some things I know will do this:

Midi Solutions Event Processor (current product)
JL Cooper MSB+ (probably long discontinued, I think they also had a standalone channel shifter too)
Phil Rees CSF MIDI Processor Channel Shifter and Filter (current product)
DMC MX8 MIDI PATCHBAY

Good luck hunting, Jeff

Thanks Jeff!
I'd looked into the MX-8 as I thought it may be what i'm after but couldn't find anything in the manual that suggested it'd do what i need it to do.. i'll have another read, and also will hunt down the Midi Solutions, JL Cooper and Phil Rees products you suggested.
Thanks a lot mate, i really appreciate the help!
Cheers,
Dawesy.
