Help with new rig addition

I've had my GCX and GC2 for over a year now, and LOVE it.

I recently added a '65 Twin to the setup, and have hit a roadblock. I'm running a MESA dual rectifier in 3 loops - clean/crunch/lead... I have the twin in another loop, and it switches over, no problem. What I want it to be able to do, is add the clean on my MESA with the Twin simultaneously. I can't seem to get both to work together.

What do I need to do?

Thanks!

You will need to split the guitar signal into two GCX Loops then run the Sends of these loops to the inputs of your amplifiers. When both loops are active, you will be sending your guitar signal to both amps at once. If there is a nasty buzz when doing this then you will either need to flip the ground switch on the Fender (if it has one) or use an isolation transformer before the input to at least one of the amplifiers. Good Luck!

Sorry, but how do I split the signal?

Plug into Guitar In on the front(this is if you want to use the buffer, which I recommend)....then on the back use the feed thrus 1 and 2.

The Guitar In will split to both rear panel outputs as mentioned above. If you are running any effects in GCX loops before the inputs of the amps, you can use a simple Y Cable to split the signal from the last Out you are using before the amp(s). If you describe the signal path you are currently running, starting with your guitar, than we will be able to help out a little better.

Okay...well...

My guitar goes into the front. I currently have 4 GCX loops occupied by my Dual Rectifier for clean/crunch/lead/boost. I have the Fender twin in another, an mxr phaser, and my fulltone OCD. The effects are all, I suppose before the amp, as non are hooked up through the effects loop. I haven't tried the dual outs on the back (frankly forgot about them!), but I can tell you when I select a patch including both the twin, and the clean tone on the Mesa, I either got one, or the other...never both. Effects didn't seem to affect anything, as whatever signal I was getting, I was able to simply click them on/off.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

The loops that control the switching functions like channels and boost are separate from the loops that route the audio signals. The guitar should go to the Guitar In on the GCX, then the Guitar Out should run to the first loop being used for any pedal effects. Each loop that controls a pedal effect will connect to the next loop that controls a pedal effect. The last loop that controls a pedal effect is where you will split the signal with a Y cable to feed both amps if you are trying to run them both at the same time. The questions now would be... do you want both amps to run at the same time? Do you want to be able to switch either one of them off ever to play through just one at a time?

I only want to be able to combine the two amp sounds for my "clean" patch... that is, the twin, with the green channel on my Mesa. Every other application would be the Mesa + whatever pedal.

OK, so in order to do this you would run a Y cable from the Out of the GCX Loop that controls the second pedal effect to the In of two unused GCX Loops. The Sends of these two GCX Loops will run to the instrument inputs of the amplifiers... one to the Mesa and the other to the Fender. When both of these GCX Loops are on, both amps will be heard. When only one of these two GCX Loops are on, only the amp connected to that GCX Loop's Send will be heard.
